25 Days of Christmas: Where is Winter??

Somehow this holiday season has felt like fall. Here in the mid-Atlantic and for my northeast neighbors, the temperatures have rarely gone under 40 degrees and have frequently topped 60. This is pure insanity. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a huge fan of winter. Having to layer up so that I don’t turn into a popsicle, hoping a rogue patch of ice doesn’t take me out of the game, refusing to socialize because the idea of exiting the warmth of my home is too much for me to bear – none of that appeals to me. However, when it comes to Christmas, it seems unnatural to have temperatures like this. It could be 70 degrees on Christmas Eve! What is that?! I’m sure some southerners and those that live in the sunny sunshine states see this as normal, but for us… this is unheard of.
It almost goes without saying (and since it’s almost, I’m going to say it) that this topsy-turvy weather is having quite the effect on my clothing choices for work this week as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Are any of you in the area? Is your mind BLOWN by this, too?

It’s in the 70s here and my body is confused!
